Hi everybody!
We are a group of 6 girls from different countries in Europe and we are making voluntary service with Art Fusion in Bucharest. We are working on a project to promote awareness of gender issues using participative arts such as forum theatre, street action, improvisation and other methods.
Clärli
▪ is 18 years old
▪ and comes from France
▪ she is a very sociable and openminded person
▪ she is good in doing tapdance and poi-poi
▪ and walks very noisily with her heels
▪ she is a friend of every bartender in Bucharest which is good for each of us
▪ She has recently discovered a passion for knitting
▪ after finishing high school, she decided to go abroad to take her time in Romania to make new expierences and to get a concrete idea about her plans for the future
▪ she is quite interested in culture, music and the people of eastern countries, another reason for her to come here
▪ she likes to work with Art on a social topic and besides that she investigates on the truth behind the prejudice about eastern countries.
Hannah
▪ is 26 years old
▪ and comes from the U.K.
▪ of course she likes (black) tea
▪ and she never complains about the meals that we´re cooking
▪ she is very afraid of cooking for us but she makes us happy with her very joyful loud laugh
▪ and her great ideas during our improvisation theatre courses
▪ is a master of history and after finishing her studies she decided to work for a NGO to explore a new culture and to get new experiences
▪ she likes the project because of its variety and the fact that it covers a lot of activities
Catarina
▪ is 22 years old
▪ and comes from Portugal
▪ she finished her studies and got the licence of multimedia and communication
▪ she likes cooking for many people and we are telling the truth when we say that we enjoyed every meal she cooked with a special portugese touch
▪ she is good in discovering the city by day and by night as well and she shows us very nice places from time to time
▪ our second smallest girl is very relaxed however she does her work very well
▪ she likes to read, doing poi-poi and she has alreay taken part in theatre plays
▪ we have never seen her in trousers yet
▪ she wanted to do an EVS because the project seemed very interersting for her
Julia
▪ is 18 years old
▪ and comes from Austria
▪ she finished high school which focused on languages
▪ besides speaking German, she also speaks English, Spanish and French very well (what means that she is our little dictionary)
▪ she likes playing the guitar and singing
▪ she has a big passion for music and works in a record store back at home
▪ so she knows best how to make friends with the record store owners in Bucharest
▪ from time to time Julia attracts bad luck
▪ she fights for a healthy and qualitative food
▪ she came to Bucharest because she interested in Art and she wants to develope her artistic skills here
▪ she also wants to find out more about herself and managage to live independently
Clementine
▪ is 23 years old
▪ she comes from France
▪ and without a doubt she is the smallest girl of us
▪ she is good at making jokes
▪ and she needs a place where she can dance during our nights in Bucharest not to fall asleep
▪ when she visits Bucharest during the day, she never goes out without her city guide
▪ she has learned the romanian language very fast
▪ but not like the others she hates tea and prefers coffee
▪ Clementine is graduated in theoretical theatre
▪ after her studies she decided to do an EVS because it´s a good way for her to travel and to get to know another country
▪ an EVS in Easteurope has a lot of promises and it´s a good idea to connect social issues and art
Elke
▪ is 19 years old
▪ and comes from Austria
▪ she finished the school for nursury school teachers
▪ and besides that she likes playing the guitar and singing, but it seems that she doesn´t really want to share her passion with the others
▪ she tries to organise the chaos and that´s why she cleans the stove almost every day
▪ at day she likes buying bread and milk and at night she likes to meet new people
▪ after finishing school she decided to do an EVS to become more independent to discover a new country and to work in a project that works with art and culture
▪ being a part of ART Fusion is a chance for her to discover a new country and to improve her artistical skills, especially acting in a theatre
